Classical Ballet
Classical Ballet is the most methodical of the dance styles and is fundamental to any dancers training, teaching strength, posture and technique. For our pre-school and younger dancers we have a lot of fun in ballet class using imagination and props, as the students move in to the older classes we focus more on technique and discipline. |
Contemporary/ Lyrical
Contemporary is a form of dance influenced by both classical ballet and modern dance. It takes its technique and body control using abdominal strength from classical ballet, although it permits a greater range of movement that may not adhere to the strict body lines or turnout set forth by schools of ballet technique. Contemporary is an expressive style of dance using technique and emotion to portray a message. |
Hip Hop
Hip-hop dance refers to dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. It is a very popular style and a lot of fun. |
Jazz Modern jazz dance is frequently influenced by other dance styles such as acro, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, and hip-hop. Many music clips use this style.Movements are often sharp and precise with turns, leaps and floor work combined. Jazz is a fun style of dance mostly danced to popular music. |
